The 2018 youth football combine & Parent Safety Meeting

Block One: 6:00-6:30pm
Athletes will be lead through a dynamic warm up & running fundamentals by the performance coaches of The Spot Athletics. The Spot specializes in athlete-specific, performance training with an emphasis in injury prevention. They will guide the athletes through a sequence designed to improve mechanics and prepare the muscles and joints for activity.
While the athletes are warming up, parents will hear a short presentation about athlete safety and concussion screening given by Grandview High School Football Head Coach, Jason Peters and Team Physician, Dr. Thomas Pommering of Nationwide Children's Sport Medicine. and be given an opportunity to ask any questions they have.
Block two 6:30-7:15pm
Athletes will be divided into groups by age and taken through a series of activities designed to give them a grater understanding of the sport. This will include throwing/catching, target practice, and route running, obstacle courses, and other events. They will also compete in measurable performance indicators like the 40 yard dash and broad jump.
Block three 7:15-7:30pm
After athletes have completed the Combine, they will be brought back together for a cool down, a few words from The Spot Athletics' Coaches and to award prizes to the top performers in each age group! The Coaches for your child's team will be on hand to answer any questions you have about the upcoming season and The Spot Athletics' Strength Coaches will be happy to answer any questions you have about performance, injury prevention or anything in between.
