Coach Jeremy Hoy

Director of coaching

Coach Hoy is the Director of Coaching and Manager of our Dublin location.  In this role, he is responsible for continuing to develop our World Class Coaches, as well as sharing his wealth of knowledge and coaching experience from successfully building championship teams through culture, leadership, and solid teamwork values.

He is the former associate strength and conditioning coach at The Ohio State University, where he directed the successful men’s hockey and men’s golf strength and conditioning programs, and had oversight of the elite women’s ice hockey program.

A native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, Coach Hoy has experience successfully training and developing hockey players and other young athletes, using a long term development model to optimize performance.

Previously, he spent 10 years at Robert Morris University working as an independently contracted strength and conditioning coach with the men’s and women’s hockey and men’s and women’s lacrosse teams, where he won several conference titles and earned NCAA National Championship (tournament) berths, while also earning a reputation as an elite ice hockey strength and conditioning coach.

Coach Hoy has worked with USA Hockey in a number of roles.  He was the associate coach-in-chief for off-ice training for the MidAm District of USA Hockey.  In this capacity, he has taught the CEP Coaching Clinics for levels 1-4, helping to educate coaches about comprehensive long term athlete development.  He served as the head strength and conditioning coach with the U.S. Women’s National Under-18 Team that won the gold medal in the World Championships in Russia and with the U-18 women’s select team.

Additionally, he was the head strength and conditioning coach for the Youngstown Phantoms in the United States Hockey League (USHL) for seven seasons, and consulted with various NAHL teams, including the Amarillo Bulls.

In 2007, he founded Pittsburgh-based Finish First Sports Performance, where he trained and developed hockey players at all levels, including NHL and AHL skaters.  Under his leadership and program guidance, his client list included hundreds of players that began training at a young age with him and then developed to perform at the highest levels of international competition.  He has trained numerous players who have won Olympic gold medals, Stanley Cup Championships, NCAA Championships, NHL draft picks, and others who have selflessly moved on to lives of service in coaching or elite levels within the United States Military.  In his 20 year coaching career, he has trained and developed thousands of young hockey players and athletes all across the USA.
